The Blue Action Fund has released their latest call for proposals, this time focusing on Southeast Asia. This is part of an ongoing series of similar calls, aiming to provide grants to selected NGP marine conservation projects in developing countries. Blue Action Fund is planning to award between four and six grants from this call with a total volume of up to EUR 12 million
Blue Action Fund, are looking for proposals for projects based in Cambodia, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Vietnam (in case of transboundary projects, project components can also be carried out in Malaysia or Thailand), this is to allow better support for regional ocean governance structures and foster co-operation between NGOs. These projects must focus on:
- Supporting ecologically representative and well-connected systems of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) through enhancing management of existing MPAs, enlarging existing ones or establishing new MPAs.
- Supporting sustainable livelihoods in coastal communities dependent on MPAs and their buffer zones.

- Ensure you are an eligible candidate by referring to the ‘Open call for proposals’ document attached.
- Complete the ‘Concept Note’ document (attached), and send it to grants@blueactionfund.org with the subject line “[your organization] Concept Note”.
Please be mindful that the deadline for submitting your concept note is February 14th 2019.
