Wednesday, May 9 @ 2:30: Storm Drain Stenciling
Did you know that local storm drains lead directly to the ocean? Help us remind the public to properly dispose of waste! Reef Relief’s Storm Water Education team is looking for volunteers to stencil messages around storm drains in Key West. The goal of this project is to inform the public that local storm drains lead directly to the ocean, and to encourage proper disposal of waste products. We will be meeting outside the Flagler Bank of America and stencil the surrounding neighborhood.

Friday, May 11 @ 9:00 AM: Hurricane Irma Cleanup at the Old Wooden Bridge Fish Camp, Big Pine Key
The surrounding neighborhood is still experiencing the effects of hurricane Irma and now the effects of a nearby fire that burned 100 acres of the Island. We are here to help clean up the land and waterways for local wildlife and residents. We will be accompanying the Conch Republic Marine Army, a group that has cleaned well over 200,000 pounds of debris. Volunteers are encouraged to bring any resources possible such as gloves, bags, kayaks, and paddles boards. Lets help this community get back on their feet and put Hurricane Irma officially behind us!
