Call for success stories in coral reef conservation!
Along with our partner, The Ocean Agency, we are working to ensure coral reefs are pushed to the forefront of the global spotlight, in this, their pivotal year. One element of our campaign is to make this spotlight as bright as possible by highlighting conservation and restoration success stories from around the world focused on coral reefs and their associated ecosystems.
The Ocean Agency will be conducting mini “IYOR Expeditions” in order to produce a series of short, high-impact films and media stories, which will be rolled out through our IYOR and partner promotional channels, and through the media, over the course of the year.
We need your help finding the stories that we should be promoting!
We would love to hear stories of all shapes and sizes; from small-scale community-led fishery successes to long-term science-based research projects celebrating critical outcomes or milestones. If you’re proud of it, we want to hear about it!
What we need from you:
- A short description of your success story and what makes it a “success” (no more than 200 words)
- The organisation’s website
- Partner(s) involved
- Specific location(s) involved
- Rough dates of fieldwork to be carried out, if applicable (i.e., Can we come any time of the year, or do we need to visit at a specific time?)
- A few photos to help us visualise your work
- Will your team be able to facilitate access/filming? (i.e., offer access to boats, accommodations)
Please send the above informationby World Ocean Day (June 8) at the latest, to kirsty.richards@icriforum.org and info@theocean.agency or use the online form here.
Thank you!
