To commemorate the International Year of the Reef, a group of students from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in the National School of Superior Studies (ENES) in Morelia decided to create a “Coral Day” to share the importance of these organisms.
This Coral Day will involve a range of different activities including a screening of Chasing Coral, group discussions, a display of coral-related photography, and a panel of local scientist will come to talk about the local efforts being done to protect coral reefs in the region.
