On January 28, 2018, the Japan Ministry of Environment will launch the International Year of the Reef 2018 by organizing a symposium in Tokyo. The aim of the launch is to raise awareness on coral reef in Japan. In addition, Sakana-kun will be appointed as the IYOR Japanese ambassador, while some companies will be appointed to IYOR’s official supporters in Japan.
