A sunscreen rally in support of a bill to ban sunscreens toxic to corals and marine life from being sold in Hawaii will be held in Honolulu on April 18th, 2 – 5pm.
Regardless of how corals are becoming stressed, restoration can not happen with Oxybenzone in the water. With up to 6,000 tons of sunscreen entering the oceans annually, it’s time to protect Hawaii’s coral reefs!
Speakers include:
Dr. Craig Downs (Haereticus Environmental Laboratory)
Lisa Bishop (Friends of Hanauma Bay)
Hawaii legislators Senator Gabbard, Senator Espero
Rep Lowen
Senator Rhoads
Senator Thielen
Senator Riviere.
Bring along your chemical sunscreens to trade in for reef-safe!
