Corales de Paz, Reef Check´s Colombian Coordinator for the world’s largest volunteer reef monitoring and conservation organisation, announces its participatory coral reef monitoring event, “Santa Marta Reef Check” to be from 11th – 14th May, 2016, at the Hotel El Rodadero in Santa Marta, Colombia.
Four Reef Check teams will be updating information on coral reef health at four diving sites around the Santa Marta Bay, Columbia.
This is a 4-day expedition that brings together a group of like-minded people, all willing to learn, practice, care and have fun diving with a conservation purpose. This promises to be an intense recreational experience for the benefit of the scientific community, which supports the management of actions for the protection and restoration of coral reefs. If you love nature, you want to generate conservation culture, you want to contribute a grain of sand to conservation actions, you want to learn to evaluate the health of the reefs, you like the sea, or you just want a quiet holiday, but leave a mark … This is an experience that you must not let go!
This course allows you to certify internationally as Reef Check EcoDiver.
