The Egyptian Diving and Lifesaving Federation (EDLF) and the World Underwater Federation CMAS (Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques) in collaboration with the UNESCO UNITWIN Network for Underwater Archaeology are organizing the “International Red Sea Symposium“ on 11th & 12th May, 2018 in Hurghada, Egypt.
The symposium will be organised in the framework of the International Year of the Reef, 2018. Accordingly, divers, scientists and researchers from several countries will participate in the symposium, which will focus on the biology, geology and underwater cultural heritage of the Red Sea.
It will be a pleasure to welcome Ms Tatiana Villegas from the UNESCO office in Cairo, who will give a presentation about the protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage in Egypt.
