Coral Live is a free Axa Ocean education program bringing the wonders of coral to classrooms globally via Digital Explorer’s interactive webcasts streaming from the CARMABI marine research center on the Island of Curacao.
From 29 Oct – 09 Nov, founder and educator of Digital Explorer, Jamie Buchanan-Dunlop will be working with field educator, Ellie Mackay, and the leading coral restoration experts, Dr Mark Vermeij, Dr Kristen Marhaver, Dr Pim Bongaerts and Dr Valerie Chamberland to bring corals to life to over 100 schools worldwide.
Students will have a chance to explore coral organisms, ecosystems, reproduction, adaptation, the twilight zone and the impact of climate change and human activity on corals.
Daily topics will be animated through a series of broadcasts including live investigations, Q&As with coral experts and Ask-Me-Anything sessions.
Registration is still open and free on the Coral Live website.
See you soon!
