On October the 8th, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology and the Centre for Climate Change Studies are launching two new programmes:
Marine Ecology Researchers’ Club (MERC)
- which aims to bring marine ecologists together to discuss marine biodiversity, conservation and the sustainable use of resources.
Citizen Marine Science Programme (CMSP)
- a programme created to encourage the general public as well as school/college students to get involved and interested in conservation, and marine ecology.
Following this there will be a screening of the Emmy award winning documentary Chasing Coral at the Centre for Climate Change Studies.
