In celebration of the International Year of Reef (IYOR) 2018, the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), the Marriott Thailand Business Council, and the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources will host the Bamboo Shark Release and Reef Clean-up on 6 December 2018 from 9.00-12:00, at the Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Merlin Beach.

We would appreciate if you would join us in honoring the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej by releasing bamboo sharks, which were raised by the Phuket Marine Biological Center, back into their natural environment. This will be followed by a reef clean-up by certified divers who would like to join the activity.

Kindly let us know if you are able to join this event by the 20 November 2018. If you would like to join the reef clean-up, please inform us of any equipment you will need and we can arrange accordingly.
